Lio in Alterszentrum Emmersberg

Lio – the professional personal robot has been actively supporting Emmersberg Elderly Care Center in Schaffhausen since January 2020.

The main goal of the elderly care home is to provide enough time and care to ensure the well-being of those in need. The clinic believes that it is possible by relieving some of less attractive work or peak workload while using modern technologies and robotics. That is were personal care robot Lio comes in hand.

Lio is constantly learning new things and he will be able to do so much more in the future.

About the Emmersberg Elderly Care Center

The Emmersberg Elderly Care Center is innovative and robotic friendly facility managed by the city of Schaffhausen.

In 2000 the community center was completely renovated. Since then, with a concept of “assisted living”, one or two-room apartments have been rented to largely independent residents. The renovation has been extremely successful and offers residents a special atmosphere. The adjustments were made in such a way that smaller care and support activities can also be carried out.

In the Press
