Radio 24 recorded a radio series entitled “Tabuthema Alter”. In the radio series they regularly broadcast documentaries on the subject of “Age”. In this context, Radio 24 was also interested in care robots and asked F&P for an interview.
Listen to the radio documentation using the link below. Ralph Steiner visited F&P Robotics in Glattbrugg and talked the CEO Dr. Hansruedi Früh about the possibilities of care robotics. In the first part Dr. Hansruedi Früh introduced the care robot Lio and explaineed how Lio can be used in everyday environment, providing an example of the ongoing case study at the nursing home. Involved into everyday life of the care facility Lio can relieve the nursing staff of simple, repetitive tasks allowing them to have more time for social components of their daily work. In a second part CFO of F&P Robotics Michael Früh reported on previous experience in pilot projects and opportunities in the market for care robots. In the final part Head of Artificial Intelligence department Dominik Keusch presented technical possibilities and limitations of care robots.
