Lio is the first mobile service robot to be used in a Swiss clinic and to create added value. The assistance robot has been actively supporting the Rehaklinik Zihlschlacht since May 2019. The clinic is part of the Vamed Group and employs worldwide more than 27,000 people in 27 countries. The initial “intern” moves in a fixed area for three to six months and entertains both clients and staff. The aim of the project is to improve the quality of life of the valued clients by accompanying them in their everyday lives. In this way the nursing and care personnel receive valuable help and are relieved but not replaced with daily tasks in order to gain more time for priority, complex and professional tasks.
Since 2007, the Agaplesion Bethanien Havelgarten in Berlin has been offering a cordial ambience, high comfort and professional care so that residents feel at home. In the southern part of the old town of Spandau, in a charming location directly on the Havel, fully inpatient nursing care and premium living are offered in the form of a senior citizens’ residence. Since Monday July 8th 2019, they have been actively supported by our mobile assistance robot Lio.
For more than 15 years now, the magazine LEADER has been devoted entirely to entrepreneurship and politics in Eastern Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein. It is aimed at business leaders in Eastern Switzerland and political “string pullers”. On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Rehaklinik Zihlschlacht, a special was written about the clinic. Our care robot Lio is called “Charmebolzen” there.
