The symposium Collaborative Robotics will take place on 7 November from 2:00 p.m. in Giessen. The conference is now being held for the second time following last year’s great success. This year’s focus is on Safety and Artifical Intelligence. Topics such as safety certification, sensor technology and the general use of collaborative robots in industrial and service environments, such as hospitals or retirement and nursing homes, will be discussed. As we are an important player in this field we were invited to give a presentation at the symposium. The presentation entitled “Personal Service Robotics and its Special Challenges to Artificial Intelligence” will be given at 5:20 p.m. by our CFO and Deputy Managing Director Michael Früh. Mr. Früh has dealt extensively with the topic of the use of robots in care and nursing. Among other things, he is co-author of “Robotics in Nursing and Health Care”, a comprehensive study dedicated to this topic published by vdf Hochschulverlag AG of ETH Zurich.
