Next week, F&P Robotics will present an Industry White Paper at the ACM/IEEE International Conference on Human–Robot Interaction (HRI 2026) — one of the leading global conferences on human–robot interaction.
The paper, titled “From Deployment to Practice: Lessons from Long-Term Service Robot Use in Clinical and Laboratory Environments,” shares practical insights from real-world deployments of our mobile service robot in healthcare environments. The work reflects on multi-year operation in a rehabilitation clinic as well as recent deployment in a university hospital laboratory.
Rather than focusing purely on technology, the contribution highlights what happens once robots become part of everyday workflows: how trust develops, how tasks change, and how safety, regulation, and organisational dynamics shape real-world adoption. These experiences help bridge the gap between robotics research and operational practice.
Our colleague Alina Gasser will present the poster and discuss lessons learned from long-term service robot deployments with the HRI research and industry community.
We look forward to engaging discussions and exchange with researchers and practitioners working to bring human-centered robotics into everyday environments.
About F&P Robotics
F&P Robotics, a pioneer in human-robot interaction, continues to honor the vision of its late founder, Dr. Hansruedi Früh, who built a phenomenal team dedicated to bringing robots closer to humans in everyday life. We specialize in creating assistive robots and advanced technologies designed to collaborate with and support people in their daily activities.
